Story
Simple recipe with only 5 minutes of hands-on time. This slow-cooker (crockpot) meal will fill your belly and keep you warm.
This gem is the brainchild of my daughter, Christy. She takes the flavors of our competition BBQ products and uses them every day in the kitchen. This white bean soup gets rave reviews every time she serves it. Give it a try!
Ingredients
1 lb Great Northern White Beans (rinsed)
1 lb of ham seasoning pieces (often sold as ham trimmings)
6 cups Chicken broth
1 medium yellow onion (diced)
3 TBSP Big D’s Q GAME ON seasoning (*this is an estimate. Season to taste)
2 TBSP Big D’s Q STEAK OUT seasoning (*this is an estimate. Season to taste)
Equipment Needed
Large crockpot (This recipe can be made in a large stockpot on low heat if desired)
Sharp Knife
Cutting board
Large spoon for stirring
Instructions
Put all ingredients in a crockpot and stir together.
Cook on low for 8 hours.
Ladle and enjoy!
Tips and Tricks
You’re going to want to sop up the juices from these beans. It’s great with corn bread, rolls, or even a slice of white bread!
